Recording Society Expenses with Receipts in Flatra

Watchman salary, tankers, power, lift AMC — add each bill with a photo of the receipt. Residents see where the money went.

Expenses are the other half of the accounts. Every bill you add shows up in the association balance, in the month's statement, and — if you allow it — to every resident with its receipt. In bill-split societies, this month's expenses also become next month's maintenance.

Adding a bill

  1. Open Bills and tap Add.
  2. Pick the expense name from the quick list (watchman salary, water tanker, lift AMC…) or type a new one.
  3. Enter the amount and date. Tag it as Water if it is a water cost, so it splits by meter.
  4. Tap the camera to attach the receipt — up to five photos.
  5. For salaries and power that repeat, mark it recurring; Flatra proposes it every month and you confirm the amount.

What residents see

With Share expenses with residents on (Settings → Maintenance), every owner and tenant sees the month's expense list with receipts from their home screen. Societies that prefer to keep expenses private can turn it off; residents then see only their own bill breakdown.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add a bill from an earlier month?

Yes — set the date. It lands in that month's statement; if that month was already generated in bill-split mode, regenerate it to include the bill.

Who can add bills?

The secretary and co-secretaries. Residents only view.

Where do receipts go?

They are stored with the bill and shown to residents (when sharing is on) and in the statement PDF's expense list.

Can I delete a bill?

Yes, from the bill itself. If the month was generated from it, regenerate so the bills match.
