Flatra is not a payment gateway. Residents pay the association directly — by scanning the society's UPI QR or tapping a PhonePe/GPay button that opens their app with the amount filled in. Then they send you the screenshot inside Flatra and you approve it. No commission, no money passing through anyone else.
The association's UPI ID (for example sunriseresidency@sbi) or the UPI QR image from your bank or PhonePe Business app. If the society collects into a personal account, that UPI ID works too — but PhonePe and GPay decline payment links to personal IDs, so those one-tap buttons should be enabled only for business/merchant IDs. The QR works for both.
Many societies collect cash as well. Record it on the flat — Maintenance → the flat → Cash → Mark as paid. Both methods appear in the same statement.
Because it stays in your bank and nobody has to trust us with it. Flatra only records and reconciles. That is also why it is free to use.
Create your society in the app in about 5 minutes — flats, bills, generate the month. Free for the society and every resident.
Get it on Google Play Visit flatra.inNo. Payments go directly from the resident's UPI app to the association's account. Flatra records them; it never receives the money.
Record it yourself: Maintenance → the flat → UPI → Mark as paid. The claim is a convenience, not a requirement.
PhonePe and GPay refuse payment links to personal (non-merchant) UPI IDs 'for security reasons'. Use the QR image for personal IDs, or get a merchant UPI ID from your bank.
Yes, any time. Past payments are unaffected.
