Announcements replace the lost-in-the-scroll WhatsApp message: every resident gets a notification, can react, and can discuss in a thread under the post. Meetings add a date, an agenda, RSVPs and — afterwards — minutes with action points the society can actually follow up.
Posting an announcement
- Open Announcements and tap +.
- Choose who should see it: All residents, Owners only, or Flats — pick specific flats (for example the 4th floor about a leak).
- Type the message, or tap the mic and speak it. The ✨ button tidies the text.
- Late at night? Flatra asks whether to send the notification now or at 8:00 AM. The post itself goes up immediately either way.
- Post. Only the chosen audience sees it and is notified.
Scheduling a meeting
- Meetings → +: title, date and time, venue, agenda points, optional voice note.
- Choose who is invited — everyone, owners only, or specific flats. Only invited residents see the meeting and can respond.
- Residents reply Yes / No / Maybe with an optional message; you see the count and the list.
- After the meeting, record the minutes and action points; tick them off as they get done. Everyone invited sees the progress.
Owners only, explained
Choosing Owners hides the post or meeting from tenants and from family members added by tenants. Family members added by an owner see it, like the owner.

Frequently asked questions
Can residents post announcements?
No — only the secretary and co-secretaries post. Residents react and comment.
Can I delete an announcement?
Yes, from the post. Comments and reactions go with it.
Do residents without the app get notified?
No — notifications need the app. Residents on the web see posts when they open it. Share the statement PDF and the join link so everyone installs.
Why didn't a tenant see the meeting?
It was created for Owners only, or for specific flats that didn't include theirs. Check the audience chip on the meeting.
