Flatra Resident App — Screen-by-Screen Reference

A complete walk-through of the resident app — what each screen shows, what every button does, and how to join your society if you are not in yet.

The resident app has four tabs along the bottom: Home (the house icon — your maintenance bill and quick actions), Updates (the bell icon with an unread count — announcements), Directory (the group icon — who lives where) and Profile (the person icon — your photo, PIN, family and settings). Flatra is free to use for every resident. This page walks through every screen, starting with login. If your society is not on Flatra yet, the last sections show how to find it, ask to join, or set it up yourself.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot my PIN. What do I do?

On the PIN step tap 'Forgot PIN?'. An OTP is sent to your number; after verifying it you set a new 6-digit PIN.

I paid by UPI but my bill still shows unpaid.

Open the Pay sheet and tap 'I've paid — submit for approval'. Enter the amount, the UPI reference and a screenshot. Your secretary approves it and the bill turns paid. Only one claim can wait at a time.

The Pay button is missing on my card.

Your society has not added its payment details yet. The card says so and asks you to pay your secretary directly. Once they add a UPI ID or QR in their Settings, the button appears.

I paid more than the balance. Where did the extra go?

It is kept as an advance and deducted from next month's bill. The breakdown shows 'advance ₹X adjusts next month'.

Can my spouse or son see the bill too?

Yes. Profile → Family access → add their name, relation and mobile. They log in with their own number and see the flat exactly like you. Up to 6 members per flat; they never appear in the directory.

I am a tenant. Can I see the bill?

Yes, if the owner or secretary added you as the tenant. You see the flat's bill, pay it and submit 'I've paid' like the owner. The owner stays in control of the flat.

My society is not on Flatra. How do I join?

After login you land on 'Welcome to Flatra!'. If your society is already there, use 'find & join it' and send a request with your flat number. If not, ask your secretary to set it up — or set it up yourself with 'Start setup'.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. On an iPhone, open Flatra in Safari and use Share → 'Add to Home Screen' to keep it on your home screen like an app.
